The Role

You will join the existing Supply Chain Team in an established engine manufacturing business, working across both Purchasing and Material Control. Your responsibilities will include managing interactions with customers and suppliers, coordinating the supply of parts from a global network of over 90 suppliers, and supporting the production of a high-end, niche-volume product for one of the world’s leading supercar manufacturers.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a number of suppliers within a Global Supply Chain.
  • Ordering and expediting engine components
  • Collaborating with other functions to resolve technical and quality concerns.
  • Visiting suppliers to carry out Business Reviews in the UK and overseas
  • Supporting the creation of supplier delivery schedules.
  • Resolving commercial issues.
  • Managing the supply of engine components to an external customer base.
  • Purchase order administration support
  • Assisting with continuous improvement of the purchasing processes

Key Competencies and Experience

  • Experienced in Supplier management.
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Office user, particularly Excel.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Available to travel overseas with sufficient notice.
  • Relevant Purchasing experience.
  • Problem solving, analytical and listening skills
  • Full Driving Licence.

Desirable Competencies and Experience

  • Previous user of LN Infor ERP system.
  • Experience in Supplier scheduling.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Experience of purchasing in the Automotive sector
  • Project Management experience.
