The Role
We are seeking an self-motivated graduate to join our consultancy team as an Analyst Consultant within our Waste and Resource Management team. From day one, you’ll be part of a team supporting senior consultants in delivering projects to our clients. The successful applicant will have strong numeracy and analytical skills gained from an environmental, scientific or engineering background, together with a proactive, organised approach and a pride in the quality of their work. We expect applicants to have, or be keen to develop, technical expertise in the waste management industry, and will encourage this through project involvement and a graduate training programme.
As an Analyst Consultant, you’ll produce research and analysis that underpins our consultancy work. - Strong analytical skills synthesising several data sources.

Role Purpose
An opportunity exists within Ricardo for a shift technician working in the Vehicle Emissions Research Centre. The facility requires a flexible shift team to work out of normal hours to conduct vehicle emissions testing. Currently following a rotating 2 weeks early/2 weeks late shift pattern, short-term night shift working could potentially be required with suitable notice given.
Key accountabilities
We are looking for a confident and competent person with a strong background in test, mechanical fitting, and vehicle systems.
Working closely with the other members of the team, your role will be to conduct chassis-dyno (rolling road) testing according to defined processes and procedures within Ricardo’s Shoreham based Test Operations department.
Your everyday tasks will include:
- Vehicle emissions test setup including mechanical and software configuration.
- Driving a variety of vehicles on a chassis dynamometer to defined test cycles.
- Liaise with technicians, engineers, managers, and clients working on test programs.
- Basic data analysis and fault diagnostics.
Preferred skills and experience
No specific qualifications are required but qualifications of a technical nature will be advantageous along with good general mechanical fitting skills and experience in a test and development environment.
The following are essential requirements:
- Experience and understanding of automotive mechanical systems.
- Basic understanding and interpretation of test data and an ability to communicate information to engineers.
- Basic computer literacy for operating test systems and team communications.
- Flexibility to tackle unfamiliar tasks with limited guidance or supervision.
- Understand and adhere to strict health and safety guidelines.

We are currently looking for a Bid Assistant to join our Business Development team.
This role will be mainly coordinating, drafting, generating, and submitting business development materials such as expression of Interests, proposals, vendor information, statements of qualification, resumes, project experiences/case studies, and marketing materials. Ensure client potential is maximised through coordinated account management and healthy sales pipeline. Support Assistant Business Manager to develop and implement HKSEA Business growth plan.
Key responsibilities
SALES MANAGEMENT
- Assist identifying new project opportunities/clients, broadening the Ricardo Rail client network and connections.
- Producing and developing well-constructed proposals/bids
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders (technical consultants, finance, legal) to provide valuing adding solutions to clients.
- Support to prepare budgets for new projects.
- MSD Opportunities and Pipeline management.
MARKETING
- Development of marketing materials including project references, case studies etc.
- Market research as required by Assistant BD Manager to investigate new markets, new services, and new industry development.
- Conduct competitor and customer analysis when required.
CROSS BUSINESS AND DIVISIONAL SALES
- Support specific cross business line and divisional sales opportunities as they arise in region
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Proficient in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Excellent written, and interpersonal skills,
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to summarise content with condensed key information.
- Ability to organize, negotiate, and drive proposal schedules and support project management.
- Proficient in MS Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, and SharePoint applications
- Willingness to conduct in-depth interviews with subject matter specialists or technical consultants.
- Ability to work on and deliver multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
- Capacity to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Open minded and willing to communicated and building up professional relationships.
- Appreciation of cultural sensitivities and international diplomacy and be able to develop and maintain networks.
- Can start immediatley as Internship, 2 days or minimum 16 hours per week
- Potential full-time offer in July 2024 based on performance
